JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for actively driving and managing the aftermarket stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the Territory Sales Representatives and Service Support staff to ensure overall job satisfaction. Win business for aftermarket products & services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead effort to maintain and grow business for aftermarket products & services in assigned territory and with assigned customers. Generate requests for aftermarket parts, products, planned maintenance programs, and service quotes.
  • Visit customers to form relationships, find opportunities, survey equipment to determine needs, and to transition install customers to service & PM customers.
  • Prepare and present quotes for aftermarket products and services. Determine job needs, gather inputs and costs, calculate pricing using established margin guidelines, enter quotes in Servman software, present quotes, follow-up, win the order.
  • Maintain sales records, quote and opportunity log, CRM database, call notes and other records completely and accurately. Prepare requested sales reports.
  • Coordinate efforts with service support teams and outside territory sales reps.
  • Other tasks as needed or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three or more years of business-to-business sales experience.
  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Motivation and desire to win the sale.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply computer technology and software in day-to-day tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable and insurable driving record.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, drive, talk, and hear. In addition, the employee is frequently required to use hands to write documents, operate a computer, and perform similar office tasks. The employee is required to be mobile within the RDD office and warehouse and at customer locations. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds when carrying product samples, demonstration kits, office files, packages, parts, etc. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs and ladders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to drive, ability to view computer screens and documents, and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Protective Clothing Required: Closed toed shoes required. Safety glasses and steel toed shoes required when / if working in warehouse or field. Hardhat, ear protection, and other job site specific PPE might be required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is occasionally performed in an office and warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Frequent travel via car is required in order to visit customer job sites and make sales presentations. The noise level at customer job sites varies from moderate to loud depending on the nature of their business. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
